Mississippi State transfer catcher Andrew Raymond announced on Friday morning that he has committed to NC State.

Raymond started his career at George Mason where he hit .287 with 5 home runs before transferring to Mississippi State for the 2026 season. He hit .348 with 2 homers in limited playing time as a sophomore.

Like this kid. Should be a nice offensive upgrade over Lanphere, and his defense metrics were solid in limited opportunities in Starkville.

Does Bonn stick around as the backup C/maybe some DH reps? Or do you guys think we go grab another catcher

Just one swing but one of his homers last year was off Cade Townsend , OLE Miss number two guy and legit draft prospect. It's a good looking swing from the left side. Appreciate Drew but in college we gotta get more than .220 out of our catcher unless he's Bailey level good behind the plate.
