I've had a hard time getting into this layout. Hopefully today is better, JMO but the last two days there haven't been much rhythm.

.@NASCAR is interested in the potential of turning @NASCARSanDiego into a multi-year event but will hold discussions about the topic after this weekend, per people familiar.

IndyCar is looking at the potential of doing the same with the upcoming Washington D.C. race.

Naval Base Coronado in San Diego, CA, for the Anduril 250 on Sunday. It's the first NASCAR race ever on an active military base and will feature a 3.4-mile circuit and 75 laps. And the incredible, historic NASCAR setup on Naval Base Coronado also includes an amazing broadcast booth for Prime Video.

The NASCAR on Prime broadcast crew will call the race from the bridge of the USS Carl Vinson, and they previewed the action from the scene on Saturday.

these street races have to be a logistical nightmare for the hauler drivers at places like San Diego, DC, Chicago, etc....those haulers must be running over ever curb in their path.

Speaking of pain, NASCAR is having to generate their own power. They are not allowed to tap into the base power grid.

The manhole covers were a nightmare yesterday. Took forever to correct that issue.

The race today has been wild....SVG and Zilisch taken out on a restart so the favorites to win are off the table.

I'm pulling hard for the 12.

Didn't see this finish happening. Congratulations Corey Heim. 23XI continue a strong season. Seemed like a good race overall

Yep, was pulling for Heim there at the end. When Reddick went out with 2 laps to go, Heim had it wrapped up.

Heim a great kid with a lot of talent.

Agree with both of you on Heim. He has a very bright future.

"Without calling it an annual event, NASCAR wants to return to Naval Base Coronado next year possibly over the Fourth of July holiday weekend. 'We are really hopeful to be back here in 2027,' Amy Lupo, president of NASCAR San Diego, said Sunday morning."

I wouldn't mind it. The teams I'm sure would rather do that then go back to Mexico City. There are a few changes that NASCAR I'm sure will change ( always the case with something new ). As for the fence climber, I believe that is a felony?

Honestly, the only one of these Prime televised races that I ever heard anything about before or afterwards on any other newstreams, highlights, etc. was the 600... other than here of course. Missed 3 of my favorite tracks again for the second summer in a row, but can't let dumbasses like me stand in the way of these "great advancements" that NASCAR feels they are making with other demographics...

reminds me of the late 80's when PPV was the only way to watch Pocono

I am not. I had a buddy go a couple of years ago and loved it. Right now the race that I want to add is Atlanta ( can't make myself call it Echo Park ). You thinking about going?

As of now, I'm not planning on going. Just too much going on right now. But those guys will put on a good show.

If things free up for me, it would be fun.

No, I just figured with it being close by (and during the day instead of at night like the all-star races) that one of you guys here would be going.

TNT Sports is getting set for its second season airing NASCAR races, and it is the latest broadcaster to eliminate full-screen green-flag commercials.

TNT today revealed a number of changes to its 2026 coverage. In addition to cutting full-screen green-flag ads, HBO Max viewers can isolate driver-radio communication from engine noise on in-car cameras and use race alerts to jump from the in-camera feeds to the main race feed for the best view of race action.
