Somewhat surprised but then again wreaking cars and 30th in points doesn't help.

He has basically said it comes as no surprise

He did, but he is also playing the pr game. Ford is having major issues right now with the car, Ford is currently looking for a competition director for NASCAR. I'm just not sure what that team expects as a 1 car team when the mother and flagship team is having problems? Heck outside of Blaney ( who is holding on ) not much else to hang a hat on. Just my two cents. ( also Ford is working on a new body for next year ) Side note, Ford leaves much of the engineering to the teams and is somewhat hands off. It is starting to bite them.

As I sit here and thinking about today's news of the 21 a couple of things to consider. One, Chris Buescher is being courted by a unknown Ford team and Toyota team. Remember, RFK will only have 2 charters going into next season, ( could run with a open team ). Second, I'd look at Layne Riggs or Jesse Love as possible candidates to fill that ride. Now there could be a outside name that nobody is thinking about but this ride could be for the 22 in a few years. I'll ask around but at times like this folks get tight lipped.

Nailed it.

Could be, I haven't heard anything yet, but Jesse is rumored. The way these CUP cars drive I'd look at a truck driver, like 2311 did.

I like Berry a lot too. Actually thought when he came to Cup and signed with the Wood Brothers, that it wasn't the smartest move at the time. He has been Chevy forever and wanted him to grab a ride with a Chevy team. We'll see where it all goes.

Agree. But remember that Berry was the guy who was supposed to be the holder of the 4 at SHR. I know that I'm taking this personally….lol. Please don't take any of this to heart…..love your contribution. I'm a Harvick guy and wanted Berry to do well. Hopefully Rodney and Jr can work something out?

Yep agree he would have been in the 4 before SHR broke up. But either way, I just thought his move from Chevy to Ford just seemed odd for him with his ties to JRM all those years (late model and Xfinity).

In saying that, Jesse Love is going from Chevy (O'Reilly series) to Ford with Wood Brothers so same situation

He should have stayed in the 4. Going to the 21 was always going to be a step back for him...

I have a feeling that the 11 may get 3 in a row. He runs really well at Pocono.

That's true, the 11 runs well there.

You guys ever been to Pocono? In my opinion, it's not a good track for watching a race in person due to the layout/size of the track. I find watching that race on tv to be better.

I have never been there. My buddy who has said the same as you, hard to see.

I went in 1991. Ernie Irvan caused a big wreck and Rusty Wallace won in a rain shortened race. My recollection was I couldnt see the backstretch and not just because of the track being so big, but mainly because they have big infield buildings that blocks your view

my dad raced on the road course there in the 70's

they also use to have modifieds race on the half mile oval on the frontstretch. One driver got killed on it because of the braindead way they had the barriers set up.
