NC State has added another arm out of the transfer portal as South Carolina right-hander Connor Chicoli announced he will join the Wolfpack.

This past season he worked mainly out of the bullpen for South Carolina, as he made 17 appearances with six starts for the Gamecocks.  He totaled two wins with a 3.20 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 39.1 innings pitched.

Chicoli, who is originally from Raleigh (NC), signed with Georgia Tech out of high school and played one season with the Yellow Jackets.

Great news. Can never have enough depth in pitchers.

His numbers at GaTech before South Carolina were ok for a Freshman but nothing which would dazzle anyone.
Year at South Carolina much better but guess he is looking to be closer to home and better fit.

Anyone have more details on how his stuff is rated? A couple of high level pitches? How's his control?

Very good control. 2.7 walks per 9 at South Carolina last year, 2.3 walks per 9 for his career (67 innings). Not sure how the stuff is rated though
