Great hire. Good look taking a coach from a top tier SEC program.

lil blurb from his UF bio...
" In the 2024 offseason, Black again spearheaded an elite transfer portal effort to supplement an exciting group of freshmen arriving in Gainesville. Alongside O'Sullivan, Black helped bring in top-100 transfers Blake Cyr (Miami - No. 10), Bobby Boser (USF - No. 48) and Billy Barlow (Clemson - No. 96) to campus in addition to Freshman All-American Kyle Jones (Stetson). In just two recruiting cycles at UF, Black leveraged his heavy scouting background to reinvigorate Florida's recruiting and talent evaluation."

Taylor spent several years with the Tigers as a scout with him rising up to East Coast Crosschecker before heading to UF. Along with Hart we got us another good talent evaluator.

So, JC93, or someone else connected, these titles confuse me a little, help me please. So, he will be an Asst Coach, joining Chrysler and Robinson? Does JT stay in his current role?

Yes, he's replacing Hart and taking over his role as Recruiting Coordinator. He's an asst coach

By all accounts Sogard isn't coming to fruition. Rogers said this is the full staff

According to google Chysler makes $205k per year and Sogard is estimated between $140k-$180k (Hood at UNCW has a base salary of $125k, so I would assume Sogard is on the lower end).

Throw on the AHC/pitching coach title, get the salary to $250k and I bet he would listen.

I certainly dont expect it to happen, but financially it could make sense. What is a better stepping stone? AHC/PC at a top 25 program or HC at wright state?

I never understood the Sogard stuff.

Why take a step down when you are at a very solid mid major? He could have a bigger HC job as early as next year if he has another solid year.

Chrysler at 205k before bonuses is correct.
