You do realize that this was more for James to give some of his thoughts and to allow the subscribers to also chime in. It isn't something that James has to do but chooses to across multiple NC State sports which is an added benefit to the subscribers.
Furthermore, there was an IPS Live that he and Ethan did that was posted earlier today which I am assuming that you would prefer to listen to.

Hitting approach was a problem. Hopefully thats a Avent philosophy and not a Hart one. Cause going to be some frustrating years if its Harts.

That's an interesting thought. What was wrong with the approach? What would you have them do differently at the plate?
We finished 3rd overall in batting average in the conference this year behind Ga Tech and Louisville. That's our highest finish since we ended the 2021 season 2nd. As a team we were the hardest team to K in the league and finished 7th in BB.
We didn't have the power numbers that we would normally see but I don't think that's anything to do with "approach".
I'm interested in your take though.

Was James and some of the callers take if you listen to the zoom call. Basically their approach when in a good hitting count. 2-0, 3-1. Just not barreling up balls when in those counts. And bunting with 2 outs when your down 5 runs late with your best HR hitter. Stuff like that.

Look, my name is not Doubleday. I did not invent the freaking game, but if NC State is going to score 12 runs (loss to Duke) and 13 runs (loss to Auburn) in games that eliminate them from tournament play, then I am inclined to think hitting is not the problem.
