Chandler Simpson is a great comp for Rhett as future pro. Don't think he's no where close to as fast as Simpson but just a contact machine. It's a hard path to make the majors with that profile unless you can get on base at .400 clip and have 80 speed.

You guys are insane if you don't think Rett is the guy in the Lead off spot. He was on base 50% of the time and put fear in pitchers when he was on. Why the hell they didn't run him more is beyond me bc he was highly successful in stealing bags . He doesn't K every 4 at bats but every 14 or so and he does everything your ideal leadoff hitter should do and then some . He can run balls out of the yard but that ain't his job . This stupid mind set of thinking everyone needs to hit for power and it's ok to K once or more a game is insane. NCSU has a stud player leading off. They need to take your microphones away if you are unable to realize that. So much more metrics should be looked at when a player strikes out so damn often and never has productive outs . Strikes out 3x more than walks but runs one out of yard every 3 or 4 games. It's the job of 2,3,4, and 5 to drive runs in. You can't do that when guys are striking out every other at bat. Insane
